• Time Warp contains the last three books in the Valyien Far Future series and it was epic ) Right from the first pages it pulled me into the story and I wanted to know how it would end for the Mercury Blade crew and Captain Eliard. This series has had it all hybrid AIs, futuristic settings, aliens, warp gates and time travel, jammed into nine books worth of action and adventure. The characters have been great - Captain Eliard nice and complex with just the right amount of back-story to help readers understand why he left his noble birth-right behind to take up pirating. Cass, the House Archival agent whose dedication and belief that El can be a better person is the anchor that enables El to grow into the type of person who is willing to sacrifice himself in order to keep humanity free. Irie, the frizzy-haired, slightly dumpy chief engineer of Mercury Blade and Val the Durger hero of Chenga Pass. Of course this story wouldn't be anything without the two AIs bent on consuming each other in order for one or the other to come out on top and be the god-like controller of the galaxy (sigh...there's nothing like two slightly nutso AIs duking it out while humanity ends up being the fodder caught up in the battle). So if you like loads of action, time travel, aliens, AIs, characters that are well crafted and likeable then this series is one not to miss. A highly recommended series )
• James David Victor is an excellent story teller. These books are fast-paced, action-packed, and suspenseful. I really like the main characters, Eliard, Val, Irie, and Cassandra. They work so well together. Read these nine books, and you will enjoy them. Happy reading!
• I had read a great many sci-fi series but this has to be one of the best . The series was spellbinding once started and I didn't want to put it down. Fantastic read and I am sorry to see it end
